Sacramento Kings vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Odds – Regular Season Stats & Betting Trends

Can The Kings End Their Seven-Game Road Trip On A High Note?

Sacramento Kings Season Stats:

  • Scoring Offense: 118.5 PPG – 15TH
  • Offensive Efficiency: 117.3 points per 100 possessions – 14TH
  • Scoring Defense: 117.5 PPG – 20TH
  • Defensive Efficiency: 116.2 points per 100 possessions – 17TH

The Sacramento Kings are currently holding down the No. 5 spot in the conference playoff race. They have posted six wins across their last 10 outings. Additionally, they enter this matchup riding a two-game winning streak.

This includes a 133-122 win over the Indiana Pacers and a 123-115 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night. In that contest, De’Aaron Fox paced the Kings’ scoring attack with 41 points on 13-for-24 shooting from the floor and 5-for-11 from beyond the arc.

Trey Lyles contributed 16 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Domantas Sabonis added 13 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists. This marked the 31st consecutive outing in which Sabonis has posted at least a double-double.

“For him to do that 31 times in a row is another reason why we’re winning right now,” teammate, Malik Monk told ESPN, “because he draws a lot of attention, and he’s not selfish, either. I think that’s just him playing the game, knowing the game, being a vet, and not forcing anything.”

Sacramento has posted five wins through its first six games of this seven-game road trip and hopes to end it with a win over a Cavaliers team that is playing well in its own right.

Can The Cavaliers Extend Their Winning Streak To Six Games?

Cleveland Cavaliers Season Stats:

  • Scoring Offense: 114.3 PPG – 20TH
  • Offensive Efficiency: 115.8 points per 100 possessions – 17TH
  • Scoring Defense: 109.7 PPG – 3RD
  • Defensive Efficiency: 111.1 points per 100 possessions – 2ND

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been hot. They have won nine times across their last 10 decisions. They have produced wins in each of their last five contests. Even more important, they have climbed to the No. 3 spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

The team’s most recent outing was a 117-101 victory over the San Antonio Spurs. Three of the Cavaliers’ five starters scored at least 20 points. Donovan Mitchell stuffed the stat sheet with 31 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and two blocked shots.

Evan Mobley finished with a double-double that included 28 points and 10 rebounds. Jarrett Allen contributed 26 points and 16 rebounds.

Cleveland limited San Antonio to just 36.7 percent shooting from the field (36-of-98) and 30 percent from long range. The fact that the Kings have won five of their last six contests, combined with the Cavaliers being one of the better defensive teams in the association, promises to be a competitive matchup.

Now that we have set the table for this East vs. West matchup, let us look at the betting trends for both sides.

The Picks

The Spread

The Cavaliers opened as a 3.5-point favorite. The line has recently climbed to five points for the home team (per pre-game.com). Here is a look at how both teams have fared against the spread this season.

  • The Kings are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 matchups against the Cavaliers.
  • Sacramento is 5-1 ATS in their last six road games against Cleveland.
  • In their last 10 outings against Eastern Conference opponents, the Kings are 7-3 against the spread.
  • The Cavaliers are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games overall.
  • In their last seven February contests, Cleveland is 2-5 against the spread.

Although Cleveland has won each of its last five contests, the Kings have enough talent to at least cover the spread if they do not win outright.

Prediction: Sacramento Kings (+5)

Over/Under

The projected over/under total for this matchup opened at 230 points. The line has recently moved to 235. Here is why going with the “over” is the smart choice.

  • The total has gone OVER five times in the Kings’ last six matchups against Central Division opponents.
  • The OVER total has prevailed five times in the Cavaliers’ last seven contests against Pacific Division opponents.
  • The OVER total has cashed in 10 times in Cleveland’s last 15 times in which it has played on a Monday.

Prediction: OVER 235 points

Player Prop Bets

The key player to watch for the road team is De’Aaron Fox. He currently has -115 odds of scoring more than 24.5 points and -115 odds of finishing with less than 24.5 points.
