Jaycee Carroll, Real Madrid snap two-game EuroLeague losing streak

With Jaycee Carroll leading the way, Real Madrid made an excellent offensive performance and put an end to a two-game losing streak in the EuroLeague.

The “Whites” rallied past Bayern Munich at home (100-82) and earned their second victory in the competition.

Real led for the majority of the night and cruised to the victory, as the Bavarians could not make a comeback in the last 10 minutes of the game.

Bayern also saw its four-game winning streak in the EuroLeague come to an end.

Five players scored in double figures for the winners, with Carroll being impressive and finishing with a game-high 19 points.

On the other hand, Wade Baldwin paced Bayern with 18 points and Jalen Reynolds contributed 15 points and seven rebounds.

Real Madrid improved to 2-4 in the EuroLeague, while Bayern dropped to 4-2.

After suffering back-to-back losses in the EuroLeague, CSKA Moscow defeated Valencia Basket 84-75 at Megasport Arena on Thursday.

The hosts built a double-digit lead in the second quarter, thanks to Mike James.

The American guard went for 15 points in the quarter and helped the Muscovites close the first half in front by nine (44-35).

The Spaniards attempted to come back, but the Russians went on an impressive 12-2 in the fourth quarter and never looked back.

Zalgiris Kaunas fought back from a double-digit deficit and rallied past ASVEL Villeurbanne in France (74-83).

The Lithuanians conceded just 24 points in the second half and earned the victory.

Marius Grigonis exploded for a career-high 25 points for Zalgiris, whereas Charles Kahudi had 18 for the losing squad.

The visitors trailed by 13 points late in the second quarter and by 11 midway through the third.

Yet, they turned things around and remained on top of the EuroLeague, with a 5-1 record.

ASVEL is still winless (0-3), but still has three games to play, which were suspended due to the coronavirus.

Fenerbahce put an end to a three-game losing streak in the EuroLeague.

The Turks played excellent defense and escaped from Tel-Aviv with a big win over fellow EuroLeague powerhouse Maccabi (65-75).

The Israelis led for the majority of the first three quarters, but the visitors outscored them 11-19 in the final part of the game and sealed the deal.

Ali Muhammed led the winners with 17 points. Scottie Wilbekin paced Maccabi with 23.

Fenerbahce now is at 3-3 in the EuroLeague standings. For its part, Maccabi dropped to 2-4.

EuroLeague Basketball suspended another two games (Zenit Saint Petersburg vs Panathinaikos and Armani Milano vs ALBA Berlin) due to positive coronavirus cases.

The respective games will be rescheduled to a later date.
