CSKA Moscow defeats Armani Milano in OT for its 12th straight EuroLeague win

CSKA Moscow has been unstoppable in the EuroLeague and extended its winning streak to 12 games.

The Muscovites survived a late thriller over Armani Milano and claimed the 87-91 overtime win on the road.

It was a hard-fougth battle from start to finish, with the Russians standing tall and sealing the deal in the end.

Nikola Milutinov set a new EuroLeague record in offensive rebounds with 16, finishing the game with a monster double-double (17 points, 19 boards).

Mike James (20 points, 11 assists) and Johannes Voigtmann (13 points, 12 boards) also posted double-doubles for the winners.

Four players scored in double figures for the losing squad, with Zach LeDay leading the way with 21.

CSKA Moscow remained on top of the EuroLeague standings with a 14-3 record.

Meanwhile, Armani lost its second straight at home and dropped to 9-7.

Bayern Munich maintained its place within the top four, thanks to its victory over Barcelona (90-77).

The Bavarians came back from a double-digit deficit and won their third straight at home. This also was the fourth victory for Bayern in the last six EuroLeague games.

Wade Baldwin IV led the way with a career-high 29 points and seven assists, setting a club record with a performance index rating of 41.

On the other hand, Barcelona played without its superstar Nikola Mirotic, who was out for personal reasons.

The “Blaugrana” lost their third in a row and fifth in the last eight games in the competition.

Both teams now have identical records in the EuroLeague (11-6).

Crvena Zvezda endured the comeback of Panathinaikos and protected its home court (74-71).

The Serbians led by 11 at halftime (48-37) and at the end of the third quarter (57-46), respectively.

Yet, the “Greens” turned things around and tied the game late in the fourth quarter (68-68) with a 11-22 run.

The hosts, though, sealed the deal from the free-throw line in Coach Dejan Radonjic’s first game back on the Zvezda bench.

Crvena Zvezda improved to 6-11 in the EuroLeague standings and surpassed Panathinaikos, which dropped to 5-11.

A 44-23 run between the second and the third quarter was enough for Fenerbahce to rally past ASVEL Villeurbanne at home (81-59).

ASVEL never recovered from the double-digit deficit and ended the first part of the EuroLeague regular season with a defeat, dropping to 5-11.

For its part, Fenerbahce won its second straight at home and improved to 7-10, maintaining a playoff push.
