CSKA Moscow, Anadolu Efes, Armani Milano, Fenerbahce secure spot in EuroLeague playoffs

CSKA Moscow, Anadolu Efes, Armani Milano and Fenerbahce joined FC Barcelona in the EuroLeague playoffs, following the first part of Round 32.

The Muscovites rallied past Zenit Saint Petersburg on the road (74-86) and sealed its place in the postseason.

CSKA improved to 21-10 and will play in the postseason for another year. On the other hand, Zenit dropped out of the EuroLeague playoff zone, at 17-14.

Anadolu Efes crushed Real Madrid on the road (83-108) and clinched its spot in the playoffs in impressive fashion.

Efes outscored the “Whites” 41-67 in the second half to cruise to the victory and lift its record to 21-11.

On the contrary, Real dropped to 18-14 and its EuroLeague playoff presence is in jeopardy.

Armani Milano dominated Crvena Zvezda on the road (72-93) and qualified for the EuroLeague playoffs for the first time in seven years (2013/2014).

The Italians improved to 20-12 and took advantage of Anadolu Efes’ win over Real Madrid to advance to the postseason.

On the other hand, Zvezda now is at 9-23 and has already been eliminated from the EuroLeague playoffs.

Fenerbahce became the fifth team that advanced to the EuroLeague playoffs after defeating Bayern Munich on the road (68-77).

The Turks used a 10-18 run in the third quarter and never looked back, earning their 15th win in the last 17 EuroLeague games.

Fenerbahce improved to 20-12 and punched its ticket to the playoffs with its victory combined with CSKA Moscow’s win against Zenit Saint Petersburg.

Bayern Munich dropped to 19-13, and could advance to the EuroLeague playoffs with a win in Round 33.

FC Barcelona lost to Maccabi Tel-Aviv on the road (99-94) in an offensive showdown and missed the chance to seal the first place in the EuroLeague standings.

The Catalans (already qualified) dropped to 23-9, whereas Maccabi dropped to 13-17, but has already been eliminated from the EuroLeague playoffs.

Zalgiris Kaunas was eliminated from the EuroLeague playoffs, despite its 96-86 win over ALBA Berlin.

The Lithuanians improved to 16-16, but got eliminated from the EuroLeague postseason, after Baskonia rallied past Panathinaikos later in the night (92-87).

On the contrary, ALBA, which has already been eliminated, dropped to 11-21.

Baskonia maintained its EuroLeague playoff push, thanks to its 82-97 win over Panathinaikos on the road.

The Basques earned their ninth win in the last 10 EuroLeague games and is now at 18-14, tied with Real Madrid for the final spot on the table.

On the contrary, Panathinaikos, already eliminated from the playoffs, fell to 10-20.
