Crvena Zvezda claims sixth Adriatic League Title

Crvena Zvezda prevailed over Partizan in the decisive Game 5 of the ABA League Finals and claimed their sixth Adriatic League title.

In a game with many ups and downs for both squads, the name of the winning side was decided in the final minute. Nathan Wolters scored a three-pointer to take Crvena Zvezda up by 3 points at 78:75. As it turned out later, none of the two teams managed to score until 20 seconds remained on the game clock. Afterward, a series of free throws remained on both sides, and Crvena Zvezda was focused enough to protect their advantage and earn themselves the new AdmiralBet ABA League trophy.

Dejan Davidovac was the key to the win of the Crvena Zvezda squad in Game 5. He had 15 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals, and a valuation of 20. He was the man of the match.

Since the two sides were separated by only 3 points, in the end, it is clear that there weren’t any significant differences in terms of stats between the two rivals. However, perhaps the crucial factor of the back-to-back champions was their excellent focus, which was evident because they scored all of their 15 free throw attempts. This way, they became the first team ever in the entire regional league history to have scored a 100% of free throws attempted in a Final game.
