Will Daniels lands with Pirates de Quebradillas
Will Daniels (202 cm, Rhode Island ’08) isn’t taking a break as he heads to the Pirates de Quebradillas (Puerto Rico-BSN). Daniels just ended his season with Hapoel Eilat (Israel-Winner League) earlier this month. Now he will continue playing against professional competition in Puerto Rico. Daniels made a similar move in 2015 with a move to Mets de Guaynabo (Puerto Rico-D4). The forward performed well with 16.2 ppg and 6.4 rpg in 48 D4 games. However, this is a whole different level of play in the BSN.
Daniels has seen plenty of talented competition outside of this season in the D4. This season with Hapoel Eilat was one of those situations. The 31-year-0ld came off the bench and managed to effectively score. In just 19.7 mpg, he recorded 11.3 ppg with 5.0 rpg as well as making 42.2 percent of his three-point attempts. His team finished the season second in the Winner League with a 21-12 record. Daniels playing well off the bench went a long way for his Israeli squad.
