Volodymyr Gerun will join Barcelona Lassa II

Volodymyr Gerun (208 cm, Portland ’15) is on the move to play for FC Barcelona Lassa II (Spain-LEB Gold). The Ukranian is moving there after playing for CB Clavijo (Spain-LEB Gold) earlier this season. Gerun averaged 14.7ppg and 6.7rpg with Clavijo and will look to continue his scoring ways for Barcelona. This is the third team Gerun will be playing for in Spain in two years. Last season he played for Forca Lleida (Spain-LEB Gold) which was his first team in Europe.

Gerun played three seasons in the NCAA, two with Portland and one with West Virginia. He did not see much playing time at West Virginia, but Portland was where he saw an opportunity. In his final season in 2014/2015, the big man averaged 8.4 ppg, 6.0 rpg and 1.2 bpg in 24.3 mpg. He finished fourth in his conference in blocked shots.
