Vojdan Stojanovski moves to Demir IBB
Vojdan Stojanovski (194 cm) is the newest member of the backcourt for Demir Insaat Buyukcekmece Basket (Turkey-BSL). The veteran guard brings efficient scoring to any that he plays for. Stojanovski has been an excellent shooter from deep during his career. Last season was no different as he made 43.2 percent of his attempts with Betis Energia Plus Sevilla (Spain-Liga Endesa). Stojanowski found himself on the floor for 23.3. mpg and scored 10.9 ppg for the Spanish club. Last year was his lone season with Sevilla. The team fell short of expectations with a 9-23 record which finished them in 15th place.
Now, Stojanovski takes his game to Turkey for the first time in his 12-year-career. The Macedonian guard joins a Demir IBB team that struggled a year ago. The team went 9-21 in BSL play and ended their campaign in 13th in the standings. However, the Turkish team did find success in the European Cup. In Group L, Demir IBB went 5-1 which won the group. The addition of the veteran Stojanovski will add a well-known scoring guard to the depth chart. The team should improve with him in the picture.
