Vlado Scepanovic sacked by Buducnost
Buducnost Voli Podgorica’s season has been one of stark contrasts and coach Vlado Scepanovic has been asked to step away from his role. The tacticians has been fired, and there is little doubt that the dismissal is because of Buducnost’s shocking EuroCup form. The Montenegrin powerhouse has suffered a dreadful EuroCup regular season and managed a record of 0-4 so far.
Those contrasts I mentioned came in the Adriatic League, where Buducnost has been in blistering form. Vlado Scepanovic steered the club to an 8-1 record, but a first defeat of the ABA League season came this weekend at the hands of Karpos Sakol. As a consequence, the club relinquished top spot in the standings and the front office acted to remove Scepanovic.
The Montenegrin national was in his first season as a head coach, but has a long history with Buducnost Voli Podgorica. In his playing career, the guard represented the club between 1993 and 2000.
