Virtus Segafredo Bologna still unbeaten in Eurocup
There were only two Eurocup games played yesterday. Both were in group C. Virtus Segafredo Bologna became the first to five wins, and MoraBanc Andorra picked up a key victory.
Segafredo Virtus Bologna defeated Telnet Antwerp Giants 76-95 at Lotto Arena on Tuesday to close out the first half of the regular season with a 5-0 record. Virtus punished the opponent’s defense with 52 second-half points. Josh Adams led six Virtus scorers in double figures with a career-high 24 points. Ibrahima Faye collected 16 points and 11 rebounds for winless Antwerp.
MoraBanc Andorra picked up a crucial victory in the fight for the Top 16 by pulling away late and defeating Lietkabelis Panevezys 76-66. Andorra used a 13-0 fourth-quarter run to snap a two-game losing streak and improve to 2-3. Tyson Perez paced the home side with 16 points. Lietkabelis couldn’t take advantage of a career-high 23 points from Kyle Vinales in dropping to 1-4.
