Uros Zadnik wins arbitration vs. KK Zadar

Slovenian player Uros Zadnik filed a claim against his former team, KK Zadar (Croatia-A1) at the Basketball Arbitral Tribunal (BAT) for outstanding salaries, taxes, and interest. Zadnik was on the roster of KK Zadar during the 2011/12 season. The arbitrator of the case issued an award without reasons. The aforementioned award reads as follows:

1. Basketball Club Zadar is ordered to pay to Mr. Uroŝ Zadnik EUR 7,163.00 net together with interest of 5% p.a. from 21 May 2012.

2. Basketball Club Zadar is ordered to pay to Mr. Uroŝ Zadnik EUR 3,500.00 as a contribution towards his legal fees and expenses.

3. The costs of this arbitration until the present Award, which were determined by the President of the BAT to be in the amount of EUR 3,650.00, shall be borne by Basketball Club Zadar alone. Accordingly, Basketball Club Zadar is ordered to pay to Mr. Uroŝ Zadnik EUR 3,650.00. The balance of the Advance on Costs in the amount of EUR 350.00 will be reimbursed to Mr. Uroŝ Zadnik by the BAT.

4. Any arbitration costs associated with a Request for Reasons shall be advanced and borne by the requesting party.

5. Any other or further-reaching requests for relief are dismissed.
