Trumps immigration ban worries NBA

The NBA has contacted the State Department to understand better how the U.S. ban on immigration from seven countries might affect the league. President Donald Trump’s executive order prohibits immigration from Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia and Yemen for a 90-day period.  Los Angeles Lakers forward Luol Deng and, Milwaukee Bucks rookie Thon Maker were both born in Sudan (now South Sudan). There has been some concern about possible problems with them, for example, when returning from a trip to play the Raptors in Canada. Both Deng and Maker also have dual citizenship. Deng became a British citizen in 2006 and Maker Australian after he migrated to that country in 2002. Bucks senior vice president Alexander Lasry, whose father and Bucks owner Marc Lasry immigrated from Morocco, posted a series of messages on Twitter in support of Maker.  NBA spokesman Mike Bass said in a statement.
