Troy Franklin joins Naestved
Troy Franklin JR. (183 cm, Coppin State’13) will play club hoops in Europe for the first time after penning with Team FOG Naestved (Denmark, Ligaen) for the 2015/2016 season. This year the American has been suiting up for the Lake Michigan Admirals in the PBL (United States) where he featured in sixteen and was in fine form. Indeed, over those appearances Troy Franklin picked up 19.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 3.9 steals per game. He finished with the highest steal average in the league.
Naestved head coach, Karaicic Bogdan, was pleased that Troy Franklin was still available so close to the start of the new season.
“Troy’s PBL season highlights were very good. The review of his complete PBL game film, the game film of his NCAA D1 play and the various in depth interviews that were conducted, validated my belief that Troy can play at a high level and that he is capable of having great success in our league. Of course since this is his first European league experience, we anticipate that it will take some time for Troy to adjust but we have no doubt he’ll do great for us and help us reach our goals while we work to further his development, helping him reach his goals in life and in basketball”.
