Travis Diener remains with Sassari

Travis Diener (184 cm, Marquette’05) joined Dinamo Sassari from Italy’s SerieA in 2010 after leaving the NBA and has three solid seasons with the Italian team. Diener will be playing for Banco di Sardegna Sassari this 2013-14 season. The American Diener got his Italian passport in 2012 and is now slated to play for the Italian National Team at Eurobasket 2013.

In 2012-13 Travis averaged 15.2 ppg and 8.5 apg in six Eurocup games. He averaged 16.4 ppg and 7.1 apg in 36 games for Banco di Sardegna in the Italian SerieA, helping them finish with the second-best record in the regular season.
