Toure Murry lands with Ratiopharm Ulm
Toure Murry (196 cm, Wichita State ’12) is joining Ratiopharm Ulm (Germany-BBL) for the upcoming season. Murry’s new German squad is the defending regular season champions as they dominated the league with a 30-2 record. However, they could not seal the deal in the playoffs as they were eliminated in the semifinals after being upset by EWE Baskets (Germany-BBL) in five games. They are looking to keep the dominance going next year with the help of Murry. Maybe even come away with their first Cup championship.
The 27-year-old guard has played the majority of his career in the D-league. He’s bounced around from team to team every year and then made the jump to Europe last season. Yesilgiresun Belediye (Turkey-BSL) brought him in near the beginning of last season, but he only appeared in six games. Murry did see 23.2 mpg of action when he did play and managed to score 8.3 ppg while finding 3.0 apg and 3.7 rpg. The situation didn’t work out for Murry, but his new team should welcome him with open arms. Ratiopharm is expected to insert him into the starting rotation right away.
