Tony Mitchell inks with Hapoel Eilat

Hapoel Eilat (Israel-Winner League) has secured the services of Tony Mitchell (198 cm, University of Alabama’12) this 2016-17. He joins them after coming off a stint playing in China for Hebei Xianglan (China-NBL) this 2016. In 27 games Mitchell posted impressive averages of 42.9 ppg and 10.9 rpg.

Tony had a busy 2015-16 season. He started off playing five games for Krasny Oktyabr Volgograd (Russia-VTB), where he averaged 21.4 ppg and 3.8 rpg. He played two Eurocup games for them and averaged 27.5 ppg and 6.0 rpg. Mitchell was released by the club in November. He then saw a brief stint with Movil Estudiantes (Spain-Liga Endesa). In six games he averaged 9.2 ppg and 3.7 rpg. In January 2016 Mitchell landed with Banco di Sardegna Sassari (Italy-Serie A). He played three Eurocup for the Italian club and averaged 10.7 ppg and 3.7 rpg. In eight games in the Italian league Tony was able to average 8.9 ppg and 6.5 rpg.
