Thomas Abercrombie lands with ASVEL

French Pro A team ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket has added New Zealand player Thomas Abercrombie (198 cm, Washington State’08) for the remainder of the 2013-14 season. The Kiwi has been a long-time member of the New Zealand National Team in 2006, 2009 to 2011 and again in 2013. ASVEL will the first European team that Abercrombie will be playing for in his career. He’s spent majority of his professional career playing for the New Zealand Breakers (Australia-NBL).

He played 25 games for the Breakers before leaving them this season. He averaged 15.6 ppg and 3.9 rpg. In 2012-13 he logged 32 games for the Breakers and he averaged 11.2 ppg and 4.6 rpg. His strong play that season got him selected to the Australian NBL All-Star Game in 2013.
