Teodosic shines in CSKA Moscow win
Serbian Sensation Milos Teodosic (195 cm) exploded with a monster line for CSKA Moscow as they downed BC Khimky Moscow Region 78-60 in Round 4 of the VTB United League. He heated up from beyond the arc and nailed six of his shot attempts from long range, enroute to an impressive double-double performance of 27 points and 10 assists. The prolific point guard was unstoppable. He penetrated and attacked the basket, but when Khimky’s defense would collapse on him, he’d make the assist to an open teammate for an easy shot. When the defense would sag, Milos would simply step back and knock down a triple. He set the tone early and helped his team jump start their game to a 26-13 first quarter lead. Former NBA shooting guard Sonny Weems scored 16 points, while Sasha Kaun chipped in 14 points of his own.
Both clubs now carry identical 3-1 records. Only BC Nhizny Novgorod and Unics Kazan are undefeated with 3-0 slates.
Khimky was led by Tyrese Rice who poured in 18 points in a losing effort. Maksim Sheleketo added 16 points, while James Augustine scored 9 points, but handed out 11 assists.
In the other game for the evening, Kalev/Cramo edged Krasnie Krilya Samara 75-71.
