T.J. Cline moves to Maccabi Tel Aviv
T.J. Cline (206 cm, University of Richmond product) has joined Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Before the move to the Israeli League, the veteran forward competed for Italy’s Brescia this season. He averaged 11.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 13 games in league play.
“I’m excited to join such (an) historic club,” the 26-year-old Cline said in a statement. “I am aware of the rich tradition and can’t wait to help add to that, hopefully in front of the great Maccabi fan base.”
Coach’s insights on Cline
Cline appears to be a good fit for Maccabi Tel Aviv.
“I want to thank the owners and the management for the signing of TJ Cline,” coach Giannis Sfairopoulos said. “He is a player that with his energy and his efforts is coming to help the team to compete harder and trying to succeed in our goals. T.J. knows the Israeli League and he is in his best age to make the next step to his career.”
