Steve Tchiengang signs with Al Jaysh

Steve Tchiengang (205 cm, Venderbilt’12) has signed to play for Al Jaysh Army SC Doha basketball team from Qatar. Tchiengang was recently waived by the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA D-League  along with guard Darren Moore and fellow forward T.J. Robinson. He was selected by the Warriors with their 13th pick in the fifth round.

Steve Tchiengang is a native of Cameroon who played 35 games (started in 13)  for Vanderbilt in his senior year (2011-12), and averaged 3.4 ppg and 3.3 rpg.  He helped the team win the SEC tournament that year.
