Magounis pens with Barcellona

Spyros Magounis (200 cm) has joined up with Sigma Barcellona (Italy, LegaDue) to help the team with its play-off run. The 27-year old has been playing the last two seasons with Panelefsiniakos in his native Greece. Last season he was promoted to the Greek A1 with the team and during 22 games with the club this season he has recorded statistics of 10ppg and 5rpg.

The move to Sigma Barcellona in Italy will mark the first time that Spyros Magounis has played outside of Greece. The guard has played in Greece since turning pro in 2001 and has represented AEK Athens, Egaleo AO, A.G.O Rethymno Aegean, and Panelefsiniakos in the Greek A1 and A2.
