Spencer Nelson leaves Gran Canaria

Spencer Nelson (202 cm, Utah State’05) has exercised a clause in his contract and will leave Herbalife Gran Canaria 2014 (Spain, ACB). The forward joined the club in 2010 from DASH Peristeri Athens (Greece, A1). The American played 33 games during the 2012/2013 season and picked up averages of 13.1 points and 2.8 assists while he also finished 3rd in the ACB for rebounds with 6.4 per game.

The 32-year old was half way through a two year contract that he signed last summer, but has taken advantage of a clause in the deal and left the club. Spencer Nelson has previously played in Germany, Italy, Greece, and has pre-seasoned with the Utah Jazz in the NBA.
