Shawn Taggart to Galil Gilboa

Shawn Taggart (207 cm, Memphis’09) is headed to play overseas once again as he signs with Altshuler Saham Galil Gilboa from Israel’s Winner League. He leaves the D-League’s Springfield Armor after a 13-game run with the team. In that stretch, the Memphis alum recorded averages of 8.1 ppg and 4.8 rpg.

Taggart is no stranger to international hoops. He played in Turkey during the 2011-12 season for Tenis E.Dagcilik Istanbul (TB2L). There he averaged 16.4 ppg and 8.2 rpg in 20 games.

Taggart has also played in China (Shanxi Zhongyu), Spain (UCAM Murcia, and Ukraine (Dnipro Dnepropetrovsk). His experience will be a useful addition to Galil Gilboa as they look to strengthen their roster for the latter part of the season.
