Sharon Drucker to coach Galil Gilboa

Sharon Drucker has been announced as the new head coach of Altshuler Saham Galil Gilboa from Israel’s Winner League. Drucker spent the 2012-13 season coaching Hapoel Migdal Jerusalem (Israel-Winner League). He had some issues with former player and NBA veteran Craig Smith (201 cm, Boston College’06). Things got rocky between the player and the coach and some of their “dirty laundry” got aired out in public. It was a contentious period ending with Smith leaving the team. Hapoel J-M finished fifth in the 2012-13 regular season with a record of 13-14.

Aside from his head coaching stint with Hapoel J-M Drucker was previously at the helm of two other teams. He was head coach of Fabi Shoes Montegranaro from Italy’s SerieA in 2011-12 and Aris Thessaloniki from Greece’s A1 in 2010-11.
