Sharaud Curry signs with LTi Giessen 46ers
Sharaud Curry (178 cm, Providence ’10) has signed with German Bundesliga club LTi Giessen 46ers.
A signing that raises eybrows since Giessen has filed for bankruptcy and recently lost Ryan Brooks, Laquan Prowell and Jasmin Perkovic.
Sharaud Curry on the other hand, started in the Bundesliga this season with Mitteldeutschen Basketball Club (MBC). However, that contract was recently terminated at the request of Curry. He asked to be released after he was removed from the starting lineup as he was unhappy with the new role he had coming off the bench. When released, Sharaud Curry was averaging 6.9 points and 19.8 minutes per game over 16 Germany BBL games.
In 2011-12 he wore the colors of Allianz Swans Gmunden (Austria-a Bundesliga), where he played 41 games and averaged 18.0 points and 5.0 assists per game.
Curry played his collegiate ball at Providence in the Atlantic 10 Conference, averaging 15.5 points per game in 31 games as a senior.
