Shang Ping joins Panathinaikos Athens

China’s Shang Ping (205 cm, Emporia State’09) will be playing for Greece’s Panathinaikos Athens this 2013-14 season. He will be a new project for the team. Ping will be able to test himself at the European level of competition.

In 2012-13 he played in seven games for the Qingdao Double Star Eagles (China-CBA) and averaged 0.7 ppg and 1.4 rpg in only 6.7 minutes of play per contest. Before joining the Eagles he played two seasons for Shanxi Zhongyu (China-CBA). In 2011-12 he played 25 games in the Chinese league and averaged 4.4 ppg and 3.3 rpg.
