Shane Larkin, Anadolu Efes remain on top of the EuroLeague
Shane Larkin made another stellar performance in the EuroLeague and led Anadolu Efes past Barcelona (82-86).
Larkin posted a game-high 26 points, five rebounds, five assists and a PIR of 35. The American guard helped his team remain on top of the standings (15-3).
On the other hand, the “Blaugrana” dropped to third, with a 13-5 record.
Mike James explodes with 27 points vs Bayern Munich
Mike James was unstoppable and made the difference for CSKA Moscow in the victory over Bayern Munich (77-84).
The versatile guard finished the game with 27 points (8/23 shooting), five rebounds, seven assists and a PIR of 32.
James was the main reason why the Muscovites returned to the winning track in the EuroLeague. The Muscovites, who now are at 12-6, had lost to Panathinaikos last week.
On the other hand, the Bavarians dropped to 6-12.
Khimki superstar Alexey Shved goes for 30 points in stunning loss to Zenit
Alexey Shved was the top scorer of Khimki, yet he could not help his team avoid a stunning loss at home to Zenit Saint Petersburg (81-83).
Shved finished the match with 30 points (8/17 shooting), five rebounds, six assists and a PIR of 31.
Khimki, though, could not find a way to beat their Russian rivals and suffered a painful home defeat.
This was the third straight loss in the EuroLeague for Shved and his teammates; they dropped to 8-10.
On the other hand, Zenit improved to 5-13.
Giorgos Printezis helps Olympiacos sweep season series vs Valencia
Giorgos Printezis was tremendous on both ends and led Olympiacos to a crucial road victory over Valencia (91-93).
The Greek power forward scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the “Reds”, who snapped a three-game losing streak.
Olympiacos now is at 7-11 and maintained a playoff push in the EuroLeague.
