Ryan Richards departs Asseco Prokom
British player, Ryan Richards (212 cm) is now a free agent after parting ways with Asseco Prokom Gdynia from Poland’s TBL. Richards played nine games for Asseco Prokom in the TBL 0.9 ppg and 0.8 rpg in the 2012-13 season. In five games competing in the Euroleague, he averaged 4.4 ppg and 2.1 rpg.
In 2011-12 he played for Sokhumi Tbilisi from Georgia’s Superleague and averaged 12.2 ppg and 5.8 rpg. That season, the team made it to the Georgian League Semifinals.
According to Asseco Prokom’s website the contract was resolved through mutual agreement by both parties. Richards did not play in their last game against Energa Czarni Slupsk.
Richards was seen as a huge talent some time ago and was drafted in the 2nd round (49 overall) in 2010 by the San Antonio Spurs. His career has been a roller coaster so far. Ryan Richards is bouncing around team to team and from agent to agent. He doesn’t seem to hang around anywhere for very long.
