Ryan Pearson to stay with Antwerp
Ryan Pearson (198 cm, George Mason’12) will continue to wear the jersey of the Antwerp Giants (Belgium, Ethias League) after signing a contract extension with the club. The American has impressed during his stint with the club and will now be in Antwerp for another year. Pearson joined the Giants from Maccabi Ashdod (Israel, Winner League) in December, 2013 and has averaged impressively with 15.6 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
The forward had played nine games during his time in Israel and averaged 11.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Ryan Pearson is playing his sophomore campaign as a pro Basketball player after leaving George Mason (NCAA) in 2012. The 24-year old collected averages of 17.1 points and 8.0 rebounds per game (from 32 appearances) during his final season in the in college.
Pearson spent his rookie season playing for Hoverla Ivano-Frankivsk in the Ukrainian Superleague. Over a full season of 44 games he once again showed his skills by logging 15.6 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. Ryan Pearson brings an all-round game and solid scoring to an Antwerp team currently in sixth place in the Ethias League with a winning 16-14 record.
