Rodney Glasgow lands with BC Prievidza
Rodney Glasgow (180 cm, VMI ’14) now calls BC Prievidza (Slovakia-SBL) home to start next season. Glasgow’s new team concluded their 2016/2017 campaign with a run to the SBL semifinals. They were eliminated by Inter Bratislava (Slovakia-SBL) in a five-game series. Their regular season record finished at 28-12 which was good enough for third. Prievidza also competed in the European Cup and advanced past the first group stage. However, they failed to advance through the second group stage after going 1-5 in Group L.
The Slovakian team now welcomes Glasgow to the team. Last season, the guard played for the Stella Artois Leuven Bears (Belgium-Scooore League). There, he appeared in 19 games with 27.8 mpg on the floor. Finding assists was not his specialty with just 2.5 apg on the year. What he does do well is score as he recorded 11.1 ppg while shooting 50 percent from three on 72 shots.
Prior to his time in Belgium, the 24-year-old guard made his European debut with BBC Monthey (Switzerland-LNA) in the 2014/2015 season. Glasgow showed he belongs in both Belgium and Switzerland. Now, he will see the toughest competition so far in his European career.
