Robert Upshaw inks with Champville
Robert Upshaw (213 cm, Washington’15) will be a new force to contend with in the middle for Champville (Lebanon-Pepsi LBL) this 2017-18. The big man originally signed with Guaros de Lara (Venezuela-LPB) this 2017, but has instead opted to head to Asia for the season. The journeyman had a busy 2016-17 season, seeing action for several teams. Robert began 2016-17 in Europe, lending his talents to BC Kalev/Cramo Tallinn (Estonia-Alexela KML). He played three games for them in the VTB United League where he averaged 5.0 ppg and 2.7 rpg. Upshaw also played two games in the Estonian league, there he notched averages of 5.0 ppg and 7.5 rpg. In December 2016 the big man moved to Mayrouba (Lebanon-Pepsi LBL). There, he logged 18 games and produced averages of 19.7 ppg and 12.3 rpg. Finally, Upshaw moved to Chemidor Tehran (Iran-Superleague) where he played three games and averaged 8.3 ppg and 4.3 rpg.
