Ricky Ledo signs with Anadolu Efes Istanbul

Ricky Ledo

Ricky Ledo  (201 cm, Providence ’13) is making his way to Anadolu Efes Istanbul (Turkey-BSL). This will be his return to the BSL since playing there last season with Yesilgiresun Belediye (Turkey-BSL). In 22 games, Ledo put up impressive numbers in the BSL. The small forward managed to score 21.2 ppg with 6.3 rpg and 2.8 apg while shooting 35.6 percent from three. He is an impressive scorer which is why he was given a chance to play in the NBA from 2013-2016. The Dallas Mavericks is where he played most but also spent a year with the New York Knicks.

Ledo left the Turkish team in May 2017 and headed to Baskonia (Spain-Liga Endesa) for the remainder of the season. Baskonia did not give Ledo many minutes with just 14.7 mpg. This was a big change after coming out for 35.4 mpg with Yesilgiresun. The American was still able to score 9.4 ppg in the limited time and gave Baskonia quality minutes off the bench.

Now Ledo comes back to join one of the best teams in the BSL. Last season, Anadolu Efes Istanbul finished in third with a 23-7 record. They also compete in the Euroleague where they went 17-13 which was good enough for sixth place. The addition of Ledo should add a big-time scorer to the squad and could be enough to push them to an even better 2017/2018 season.
