Real Club tie Peruvian title series 2-2
Real Club de Lima defeated Regatas de Lima 78-64 in Game 4 of the Peruvian League final series. The victory meant that the club tied the series 2-2 and took the title run to a deciding fifth game, which Real Club will host.
It was a vital road win for Real Club as the team needed the victory to stay alive in the series. The visitors opened the game with a cruising first quarter that saw Real take a 24-14 lead and hold a double digit lead after 10 minutes. In the second frame the players extended their lead and Regatas had no answer as the players headed into the locker room with the score at 33-47. The scoring eased off in a quieter third frame as both teams only sent 10 points apiece through the nets. After 30 minutes on the court Real Club had maintained a 14 point cushion heading into the fourth (43-57). That 14 point deficit would be maintained as the away team cruised down the stretch to take the win.
Dallas Hunter set the tone for Real Club and helped the team tie the series with an impressive 25 points on the night. Antonio Hester helped with 15 points, while Fernando Fung netted 10.
Howard Crawford was the standout player for Regatas and the game as he paced the losing effort with a game high 30 points.
