Quincy Douby signs with Afyon
Quincy Douby (190 cm, Rutgers’06) is heading back to Turkey to play for Afyon Afyonkarahisar. Douby, previously, played for the Westchester Knicks (USA-D-League) this season, but was cut after playing in two games. Prior to his apperance in the D-League, he played for Tianjin Steel (China-CBA) in the 2014-2015 season. He averaged 30.9 ppg and 5.1 rpg for Tiajin. The guard will be starting his third stint in Turkey. He played for Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul (Turkey-TB2L), and was apart of a TB2L championship run in 2014. His debut in Turkey came in 2010 for Darussafaka Spor Kulübü (Turkey-BSL). He led the league in scoring with 23.6 ppg in his only season with the team. He made the All-Star team that season as well.
Quincy Douby will be joining his ninth European team since 2012. Most of his time career has taken place in the Chinese and Turkish leagues, but also one season with UCAM Murcia (Spain-Liga ACB). The 32-year-old guard was selected 19th overall by the Sacramento Kings in the 2006 NBA draft. Douby has not played in the NBA since 2009.
