Phil Goss to stay with Virtus Roma

Italy’s Acea Virtus Roma (SerieA) has given a contract extension to import Phil Goss (186 cm, Drexel’06), bringing him back for the 2013-14 season. This will be Goss’ second season with the team.

In 2012-13 he averaged 12.9 ppg and 2.7 apg in 49 games in the Italian SerieA. He helped the team the SerieA finals in 2013.

Goss started the 2011-12 season playing in France’s ProA league for ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket. He played 22 games for them in the French league and averaged 9.1 ppg and 2.5 apg. He also represented them in the Eurocup and played 12 games, averaging 8.9 ppg and 2.3 apg. In March 2012 he moved to Cimberio Varese (Italy-SerieA) and played 12 games in the Italian league where he hit averages of 12.3 ppg and 3.8 apg.
