Peter Hoffman hired to lead BC Aarhus

Peter Hoffman has been hired as the new head coach for BC Aarhus (Denmark-Ligaen) to finish the 2012-13 season. The club recently released Amar Gudjonsson, who had guided the team to a 5-11 record and seventh place in the Danish Ligaen. Also hired with Hoffman is Michael Niebling, who will take over the General Manager’s duties from Allan Foss, who was released with Gudjonsson. Hoffman started his professional playing career with Danish club Horsens in 1993 and remained with them for six seasons, with a one year break to play in Austria and Malta. He then played two seasons in France, then one in Spain and then came back to Denmark to finish his career on the court with Horsens. As soon as he hung up his court shoes, he was hired by Horsens to guide from the sidelines and he remained the head coach for three seasons. He’s most recently been coaching at the National Team level in Denmark having guided the U18, U20 and Senior National Teams.
