Parma and FC Porto are victorious on gameday 4 of FIBA Europe Cup.
There was FIBA Europe Cup joy on Thursday for Parma-Parimatch and FC Porto as they were both victorious to conclude Gameday 4 action.
Parma-Parimatch joined Benfica at the top of Group C with a 3-1 record as they eased to an 83-62 success away at Opava, ending any hopes of the team from the Czech Republic making it through to the Second Round.
Jeremiah Hill starred with 19 points, seven assists, and three steals, with Artem Zabelin and Nikolai Zhmako in double figures with 12 and 11 points, respectively, in their roles off the bench.
The visitors made a strong start to establish an early double-digit advantage at 21-11 after 10 minutes, and they continued to add to their lead on their way to claiming a first success on the road this season.
Later, Porto used a solid third quarter as a platform for their 76-68 home success over Szolnok to move into the second spot in Group H. Charlon Kloof played a starring role with 27 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists in the win, with Rashard Odomes adding 22 points.
The two teams had identical records going into the contest and were level at 40-40 at the half-time break before Porto broke clear in the third quarter. The visitors see their own qualification hopes dented, though three teams remain in a battle to join Legia Warszawa in advancing.
The Regular Season continues next week as Gameday 5 begins on Tuesday, with two games, including Porto being back in action.
