Orlando Johnson signs with Igokea
Orlando Johnson (196 cm, UCSB’12) will continue his professional basketball career in 2018-19 suiting up for BC Igokea Aleksandrovac (Bosnia-Division I). The 29-year-old veteran will get a chance to revitalize his career because he last saw action in the 2016-17 season.
He spent most of that year with Unics Kazan (Russia-VTB). He played 15 games for Unics in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and posted averages of 7.6 ppg and 2.2 rpg. Johnson appeared in eight games in the VTB United League and there he notched averages of 15.9 ppg and 3.8 rpg.
Johnson also some action in the NBA D-League, playing for the Austin Spurs. He played 13 games and averaged 17.2 ppg and 5.3 rpg. Towards the end of the 2016-17 season, Johnson signed on to play for Al Riyadi Beirut (Lebanon-Pepsi LBL). He played two games there and averaged 10.5 ppg and 5.0 rpg.
