Olympiacos to reportedly sign Hassan Martin
Olympiacos is expected to announce its first addition for the 2020/21 season, according to Nikos Varlas of Eurohoops.net.
The “Reds” want to bolster their frontline and are close to signing Hassan Martin.
The American big man is in advanced negotiations with the “Reds” and the two sides are working on finalizing the deal.
Martin spent the season with Buducnost, averaging 13.6 points and eight rebounds in the EuroCup.
The Greek giants seem to have already started creating their roster for next season.
Per several Greek reports, Nikola Milutinov, who will be a free agent in the summer, will part ways with the team.
The Serbian center will attempt to join another top EuroLeague team and CSKA Moscow is considered the favorite to sign him.
However, it will not be a surprise if Milutinov moves to the NBA and joins the San Antonio Spurs.
At the same time, Olympiacos wants to bring Kostas Sloukas back to the team, even though the latter is under contract with Fenerbahce.
It seems the “Reds” have already created their plans that will allow them to bolster their roster and once again become one of the favorites in the EuroLeague.
At the same time, Maccabi Tel-Aviv took to Twitter and denied the rumors regarding the club’s interest to sign Ryan Broekhoff.
According to the Israeli website Sport5, Maccabi was targeting Broekhoff. However, the team stated they have not been in talks with any player.
The 29-year-old Australian spent the previous two seasons with the Dallas Mavericks and was waived in early February.
With the season on hiatus due to the coronavirus outbreak, it is uncertain yet how things will unfold.
Although it is likely play will resume in June and July, there is also the possibility of the EuroLeague canceling the season.
Therefore, it is logical the clubs have already started planning what changes they want to make to their respective rosters.
