Olympiacos rallies past Panathinaikos in first Greek Clasico of the EuroLeague season
Olympiacos led from start to finish and rallied past Panathinaikos in the first Greek Clasico of the EuroLeague season (71-78).
The “Reds” took over from the opening tip and never looked back. As a result, they were in front by 15 multiple times during the game and sealed the deal.
The “Greens” tried to turn things around, but never came closer than four points.
Giorgos Printezis posted 17 points in 20 minutes, as Shaquielle McKissic was the only other Olympiacos player in double figures with 10.
Two players of Panathinaikos scored in double figures. More specifically, Marcus Foster had 15 points and Ioannis Papapetrou scored 14.
Both teams now have identical records (1-1).

In the final game of the second round in the EuroLeague, Zalgiris Kaunas dominated Khimki in Moscow (70-84).
The Lithuanians hit 13 three-pointers and cruised to an easy victory, remaining unbeaten in the competition.
Khimki made a better start to the game and led by nine. Yet, the vistors went on a 6-24 run in the second quarter and took control.
Furthermore, they started the third quarter on a 4-17 run and retained their double-digit lead.
The hosts never recovered after that. They only managed to cut the deficit from 21 points to seven midway through the fourth quarter. Zalgiris were unstoppable from beyond the arc, though, and sealed the deal.
Four players scored in double figures for the winners, with Marius Grigonis having a team-high 21.
For Khimki, Jerebko finished with 23 points and 12 rebounds, while Devin Booker added 14.
Zalgiris claimed its second straight road win in the EuroLeague and now has a 2-0 record for the first time in eight years.
On the other hand, Khimki, with only eight players available due to injury and coronavirus cases, dropped to 0-2.
