Olaseni Lawal inks with BC Astana

Nigerian-American Olaseni Lawal (208 cm, Wayne State, Michigan’09) has signed with Kazakhstan’s BC Astana for the 2013-14 season. Olaseni’s addition is will be expected to bolster BC Astana’s frontcourt with his inside presence and ability to clean up on the glass. Lawal played the 2012-13 season for Tezenis Verona from Italy’s Lega Due. He logged 32 games for them and averaged a solid double-double with 10.7 ppg and 13.6 rpg. In 2011-12 he played for Knet Rioja Clavijo from Spain’s LEB Gold and there he averaged 9.1 ppg and 10.6 rpg.
