Hemofarm Vrsac no more?

Hemofarm Vrsac no more? It looks like the end for Hemofarm Vrsac from Serbia. One of the best and most stable Serbian clubs is in trouble. While the championships is only a few weeks away, the team only has two roster players. No coach, and no technical staff. The junior team that was Serbian Champion three times in a row, doesn’t even exist anymore. All players are gone. There are no plans for the pre-season and Sports Director Dusan Bozovic admits that he has no clue what will happen. He is waiting for the decision of the board of the club if they will close the shop or not. Hemofarm is one of the oldest clubs in south-eastern Europe. Over the years, the club competed under different names, mostly after sponsor companies. However, all significant results, came from 1992 onward, under the sponsorship of a pharmaceutical company Hemofarm Group.

They died long time ago. When the Hemofarm company was sold to Americans, one of the factory owners agreed with the new USA owners to keep sponsoring the club for two more years…when that contract expired, they sold Stefan Markovic, Milan Macvan, Boban Marjanovic to stay alive…these buyouts are spent, The city of Vrsac and his economy can not sponsor it,it is gone. As many project in ex-Yu, it has all depended on few people, once these people are gone….
