Nic Moore pens with JSF Nanterre
Nic Moore (175 cm, SMU ’16) will be joining JSF Nanterre (France-Pro A). This upcoming year will be the second in professional basketball for Moore. Directly after graduating, the guard signed with Enel Brindisi (Italy-Serie A) where he spent 23 games. He is a marksman from deep and has been dating back to his college days. Even in a whole new country, his shooting transferred over well in his first season with Enel Brindisi. On 134 attempts from three, Moore hit a remarkable 47.0 percent which is one of the best you will see around the world. Even though he made so many threes, the guard only managed to average 12.7 ppg in 27.7 mpg. Therefore, three-point makes was an extremely high percentage of the points recorded by Moore. Still, that type of shooting will be extremely valuable to his new French squad.
Nanterre was one of the best teams in the Pro A, a season ago. They finished third in the standings with a 25-9 record as well as winning the French Cup championship. Nanterre also went on to win the European Cup last year even though they came in second in their group. The French team went on to defeat Chalon (France-Pro A) in the Euro Finals in a two-game sweep. It couldn’t have got much better than what the team did went through during the 2016/2017 season. Moore will see a lot of playing time on the big European stage which will be a fantastic experience in just his second professional season.
