Igor Kokoskov named new Suns head coach

Igor Kokoskov  Igor Kokoskov has been named the Phoenix Suns’ new head coach. He is a 46-year-old Serbian national and will be the first European-born head coach in the NBA. The contract is reportedly for three years, but the financial terms have not been disclosed. Kokoskov was an assistant coach for the Utah Jazz from 2015 to 2018 and for the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2013 to 2015. He also coached the Slovenian National Team since 2016-17 and won the 2017 European Championship with them.

Kokoskov will be coming into a relative clean-slate situation with Phoenix. They have a roster loaded with young talent and are in a good spot to get a high draft pick in the upcoming 2018 NBA Draft.
