NCAA: Arizona and Syracuse stay atop AP polls

NCAA

NCAA – Arizona (17-0) and Syracuse (17-0), thanks to their undefeated records are still numbers one and two respectively in the latest Associated Press polls. Arizona has shown no signs of weakness thus far and continues to enjoy one of its best seasons. It is the Wildcats’ seventh week in a row at the top spot.

“The one thing we talk about being No. 1 in the country is it’s a responsibility,” assistant coach Book Richardson said on the 1290-AM (KCUB) postgame show Sunday night. “And we’re always big on, ‘Let’s embrace it. Let’s see how long we can be No. 1.’”

There are a few new entries into the Top 25 and even a tie for the last spot on the poll. Oregon, Missouri, Gonzaga, Illinois and Kansas State have all fallen off the list.

Some other notable changes are that of Ohio State tumbling down eight spots to 11th (previously 3rd) and Duke falling seven places to 23rd.
