NBA: Warriors Crush Rockets 85-126, Lead Series 2-1
NBA – Stephen Curry shook off a sluggish start but found his shot and proceeded to dismantle the Houston Rockets, leading the Golden State Warriors to a dominating 126-85 win. The Warriors lead the Western Conference Finals series 2-1. The defending champions looked completely unstoppable and Houston will be hard-pressed to weave some magic in order to come away with an upset in this series.
Curry made 13-of-23 shots from the field and 5-of-12 from 3-point range to finish with a game-high 35 points and six rebounds. Kevin Durant held the fort in the early game while Curry struggled to get in the flow. KD ended the night with 25 points, six rebounds and six assists. Draymond Green cleaned up on the glass for Golden State, racking up 17 boards to go along with his 10 points and full stat line.
The Rockets’ primary scorers James Harden and Chris Paul had a rough outing and combined for 33 points on 12-of-32 shots from the field.
So far, the Warriors have clearly looked like the better team in this series and have been playing like they are in championship form. The Rockets were expected to have the best chance of upsetting the Warriors in the West, but at the rate things are going, it appears that the Warriors are going to be well on their way to another trip to the NBA Finals.
