Mike Anderson signs with Al Wehda

Mike Anderson (201 cm, VCU’08) is set to make his way to Saudi Arabia this 2013-14 after signing with Al Wehda Mecca (Premier League).  The 27-year-old Anderson spent the three seasons playing in the NBA D-League.

In 2012-13 the VCU alum played for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (D-League) and averaged 6.3 ppg and 3.9 rpg. In February 2013 he moved to Japan’s BJ League, signing with the Akita Northern Happinets. During his stint in the Far East he averaged 10.2 ppg and 5.7 rpg in 26 games.

In 2011-12 he was on the roster of the Dakota Wizards (USA-D-League) and in 48 games was able to average 10.4 ppg and 4.7 rpg.
