Metalac stops Buducnost
Serbian team Metalac Framakom from Valjevo upset Montenegrin powerhouse Buducnost VOLI with 70-69 in tonight’s Adriatic League game. It was only the third loss of Buducnost VOLI so far in the Adriatic League and the team remains in second place after Crvena Zvezda that stays undefeated with a 14-0 record after beating Levski Sofia (Bulgaria) on the road tonight with 99-58. A remarkable fact about the game in Valjevo between Metalac Farmakom and Buducnost VOLI was that until the 18th minute neither team managed to score a 3pt shot! Finally, Dušan Kutlešić broke the ice and made the first and only three pointer in this period. During crunch time Marko Ljubičić of Metala Farmakom took the ball and played one-on-one against Omar Cook, but the player of Budućnost VOLI made a big mistake. He made a foul only two seconds before the end and sent Ljubičić on to the free throw line. The point guard of Metalac Farmakom made the first one, missed the second on purpose.
