Fischer parts ways with LTi 46ers

Matthias Fischer will no longer be the head coach of LTi Giessen 46ers (Germany-BBL) next season. It is reported that he and the team have agreed to part ways. The LTi 46ers were dead last in Germany’s BBL standings in 2012-13 with a 4-30 record.

Before joining the LTi 46ers, Fischer was the head coach of Allianz Swans Gmunden from Austria’s A Bundesliga for three seasons (2009-2012). He had a successful final season with the team. In 2012 they won the Austrian Cup. That same year he also led them to be the Austrian Bundesliga A Regular Season Champions and guided them all the way to the league’s finals.
