Matt Glover heads back to San Simon
Matt Glover (196 cm, USF ’15) is making his return to Club Universidad San Simon (Bolivia-Libobasquet). Glover played with the Bolivian squad in September of 2016 but just for three games. In those games, he played 29.3 mpg and scored 19.3 ppg while grabbing 5.7 rpg. He then moved to Abejas de Guanajuato (Mexico-LNBP) for the 2016/2017 season. The team signed him for 12 games but then let him go in late-November. Glover scored 11.7 ppg in 24.3 mpg in his short stint in the LNBP.
Glover now heads back to the Libobasquet to join a San Simon team that sits in first place. Currently, they have an 8-1 record in Group A. The addition of the 25-year-old guard will add guard depth as well as a player who can score in many ways. He can shoot the three but is better around the basket. Not many assists are in Glover’s game but he’s not afraid to get in the paint to grab rebounds.
